Gloria Estefan's week - may 20 2013

For the fans who keep up with the wereabouts of Gloria Estefan, she has a busy week ahead.

On May 20 she welcomed Las Damas de Blanco to Miami.
Las Damas de Blanco is an opposition movement in Cuba consisting of wives and other female relatives of jailed dissidents. The women protest the imprisonments by attending Mass each Sunday wearing white dresses and then silently walking through the streets dressed in white clothing. The color white is chosen to symbolize peace.

On Wednesday May 22 she will be honoring colleague Carole King at the White House and will be joining Bridging the Gap Concert. Gloria will be taking questions from The Library of Congress in DC.

From DC she will travel up to NYC to check out some broadway shows in preparation of her own broadway show.

Next stop is Boston with daughter Emily. Probably in preparation of Emily's enrollment to Berklee College of Music.
